The Miss Nigeria Entertainment program, also known as the Nigerian Canadian Beauty Queen initiative, is a contest closely associated with the global Miss Nigeria Entertainment organization. Its mission is to promote Nigerian beauty and heritage.
My excitement about this program stems from the incorporation of elements of the Crossover Mentorship Program, which helps our youth develop life skills, to include strength of character, self-esteem and integrity. We believe it is important to maintain a continued investment in the young people within our community.
I would like to thank all of our sponsors and partners for helping to make this project a reality. I would like to specially thank the Grand Patron of the Miss Nigeria Entertainment program in Canada, Professor Iyorwuese Hagher – High Commissioner of Nigeria to Canada. His immense support and commitment to the vision of promoting the image and values of Nigeria in Canada served as a catalyst for the establishment of this initiative. |

The project has brought together contestants, judges, sponsors, entertainers, tireless volunteers and many others to celebrate talent, beauty, grace and character as presented by some of Nigeria’s finest young women in Canada. The entire process if filmed for broadcast as a reality television series in Canada, Nigeria and throughout the world.

Oby-Benson Madubuko is a Nigerian Canadian model and beauty queen. She has always had an interest in modeling and beauty pageants which she started at age seven, having competed in several beauty pageants organized by her school, gaining exposure to the industry at a very tender age.
She signed on with Exclusive Model Management in 2008 and the well known Coco Model management in 2009. She has modeled for several companies and designers including Sebastian, a hair product company, SAKIA, a US based designer in Florida, Monique Edwards from Simply Beautiful Designs, and many more.
Angel Oby Madubuko was in May 2011 crowned Miss Nigeria Entertainment Canada 2011/2012 at the Sheraton Airport Hotel in Toronto, Canada through the Who's Who in Nigerian Entertainment Industry Project, powered by Urbanmingles Entertainment Media Limited and Dubbaa Enterprises Inc. She has a bachelors degree in International Development from York University Canada.
Oby-Benson is also an athlete, a writer and a talented dancer and has often entertained audiences with this gift during the talent sections of the pageant competitions. Balancing education and life as a beauty queen is often challenging, but Oby has been able to emerge successfully in all aspects.
She is currently making public appearances in Canada and the United States, thereby getting ready to compete for the ultimate crown of Miss Nigeria Entertainment World in 2012. |

I am truly honoured to bring greetings from Nollywood.
The Miss Nigeria Entertainment program in Canada, also known as the Nigerian Canadian Beauty contest, is a presentation of Dubbaa Enterprises Limited in collaboration with Who’s Who in Nigeria Entertainment Project. The show promotes Nigerian beauty and heritage, thereby exposing hidden opportunities and benefits to Nigerian and the global population.
Dubbaa Enterprises Limited, which offers various products and services, especially in the entertainment industry, holds the rights of the contest and entertainment program in Canada. Uba Onwudiwe, a Nigerian Canadian singer and actress based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada founded the company which handles music, dance, fashion, film and special events.
Internationally, Miss Nigeria Entertainment is a project of Who’s Who in Nigeria Entertainment, powered by Urbanmingles Entertainment Media Limited.

Among the company’s publications is Nollywood Who’s Who Encyclopedia, and the Who’s Who in the Nigeria Entertainment Industry. Urbanmingles also produces films, realities shows, and annual Entertainment awards called Nollywood Who’s Who Awards.
